Gettysburg College students take pride in their work, and we are likewise proud to announce their recent academic achievements. Students whose semester averages were 3.6 or above were recently placed on the Dean's Honor List. The following local students have been awarded this outstanding academic achievement in the Fall 2017 semester.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

CDAE offers the opportunity for students to take what they learn in the classroom to communities abroad in partnerships for community development. Students with this achievement have completed a CDAE travel service-learning course abroad.

Lasell College announced today the students named to the fall 2017 Dean's List. Students with this accomplishment are full-time degree candidates who completed 12 or more credits in the fall semester, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. This semester's Dean's List encompasses students from all class years and over 30 majors, including 157 members of the school's freshman class.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Select students have been named to the Fall 2017 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

There were 41 students recognized during the December 13, 2017, midyear graduates recognition ceremony for having completed the requirements necessary for graduation.

As first-year students embark on their college experience, they will all take part in Loyola's living learning program, Messina. The common text for Messina is Just Mercy, by Bryan Stevenson. The book, a compelling first-hand account of a lawyer who defends the poor and wrongly condemned, speaks to the inequality in the justice system.

The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that 27 student athletes have earned a coveted spot on the 2017 Assumption College Field Hockey team.

Lasell College proudly welcomed over 400 students from the United States and around the world to its Newton, MA campus in September 2017.

St. Lawrence University welcomed new students to the Class of 2021.

Wesleyan University welcomed 766 new students in the Class of 2021 to campus on August 30.

High Achieving Students Choose Miami University

The following students have been named to the dean's list at Bates College for the winter semester ending in April 2017

In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that more than 5,290 undergraduates have qualified for the Spring 2017 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, many other states and countries.

A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least 3 courses for a conventional letter grade earn the fall Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Nichols College has recognized 469 students who achieved Dean's List status for their academic work during the fall 2016 semester.

Roger Williams celebrates spring graduates

Bates College graduated 462 students from 32 states and 43 countries. Cumulatively, the Class of 2016 performed 17,500 hours of community service, exemplifying Bates' commitment to community learning and civic action.

In August, Champlain College welcomed the class of 2020 to its Burlington, Vt. campus.
